"I
am writing to you because you are people who care about and
help others. Some of you are active members of churches, feminist

A.P.I.
- Empowering Women Through: |
- Micro-enteprise
training
- Savings Programming
- Credit Provision
|
| |
| Business
Skills Training |
|
The
training itself will involve basic business skills training
with the goal of increasing participants' chances of
maximizing their business's profitability. Some of the
business skills we teach include product planning and
the various aspects. |
| |
| API
employs a Solidarity Group Methodology in its work.
It means working with groups of women who share common
objectives. A savings scheme, a vital component of the
program will lead the participants to financial self-reliance
in the long-run. |
|
| Credit
Provision |
| |
We
provide a practical way to generate income and thus
reduce poverty through micro-enterprise training and
micro-lending to women in urban and rural communities
in Senegal, West Africa. A credit provision scheme is
a key component of the Anti-Poverty Iniative Program. |
| Tie
and Dyeing |
We
have found that these needy women are eager to work
- to start or expand a micro-enterprise in order to
provide the basic necessities for their families. Even
a small amount of capital accompanied by support and
training, will transform the lives of many. |
