"I
am writing to you because you are people who care about and
help others. Some of you are active members of churches, feminist

- Empowering Women Through: |
- Business Skills Training
- Savings Program
- Credit Provision

Skills Training |
|
We provide basic business skills training with the goal of increasing participants' chances of maximizing the profitability of their businesses. Some of the business skills we teach include product planning, cost calculation, marketing and record keeping. |
| |
| API employs a Solidarity Group Methodology in its work which connects groups of women who share common objectives. A savings program provides a vital plateform to ensure that the participants work together towards financial self-reliance in the long-run. |

| Credit
Provision |
| |
We provide a practical way to generate income and thus reduce poverty through micro-enterprise training and micro-lending to women in urban and rural communities. Credit provision is a key component of the Anti-Poverty Iniative Program. |
|
|
We have found that underprivileged women are eager to work - to start or expand a micro-enterprise in order to provide the basic necessities for their families. Even a small amount of capital accompanied by support and training, will transform the lives of many. |
